Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities
The department of Applied Sciences and Humanities of the college was setup 2006. It consists of five disciplines, namely Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Environmental Studies and Professional Communication. This department plays a unique and distinctive role in Engineering Education of the college where the ethos of science and technology prevails. The aim of the department is to impart basic and fundamental skills in mathematics and Applied Sciences to the students of UG & PG courses to create a solid background in them for understanding various technical / engineering subjects of their courses. In addition the subjects taught by the department are also meant to synthesize students towards broader social, cultural, ethical and human issues.
The department has developed state-of-the-art infrastructure which includes various labs & a set of competent faculty members (which consist of a lucrative combination of senior, experienced faculty members and well qualified, young, energetic, dedicated and research oriented faculty members) with a high degree of excellence in their fields of specialization.

His area of interest is distributed systems & algorithms. He authored a book on Computer Network with Narosa publications.
