Information technology (IT) is the technology required for information processing. In particular the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit and retrieve information from anywhere, anytime.

The potential of Information Technology needs no emphasis. The department was established in 2006 with an intake of 60 students per year. The Department offers the course, which is of 4 years duration, leading to the degree of Bachelor of Information Technology. The department has implemented excellent computing facilities and fully dedicated faculty to provide quality education to its students to enable them to study design, modeling, analysis and applications of computer related systems. The Department caters to the needs of nearly 60 students in various batches of Information Technology.

It houses various laboratories specializing in areas such as programming and database, graphics and multimedia, computer communication, internet and web designing, image processing etc for the students. The curriculum includes detailed and in-depth knowledge of software concepts. It also conducts value added courses covering the latest in the field of information technology.

Android training conducted by the college resulted in development of 15+ live apps every year, published on the Google Play Store. Through this training 60 students were selected in IBM, Mobillitte, NIIT & Optimus last year.

Industrial Training & Corporate Resource Center (ITCRC)

The college has setup ITCRC in association with leading companies around the globe to help students with placements. The IT department students get to work on live projects in companies like R-Systems, Novoinvent. Moreover, under ITCRC the IT students learn and work on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Data Science in specialized labs. Students are enrolled into the Python Programming Lab and are also taught Google Based Products - development and implementation including but not limited to Google Cloud, Android App Development, SEO etc. The above is all Free of Cost!
