His vast experience has provided him the opportunity to manage numerous serious emergencies and trauma cases at sea and at remote locations. He also has extensive experience in managing every aspect of multi-specialty hospitals and healthcare organizations including dealing with personnel issues of doctors, nurses, paramedics and non-medical staff, procurement and maintenance of permanent medical stores, financial planning of allocated funds, prospective planning for the organization, organizing medical camps, blood donation camps, organ donation drives and health education programs. During his tenure with the Indian Navy, he initiated several important infrastructure projects and instituted standards for establishing “Patient Friendly Hospitals”
During his tenure with the Indian Navy he was also a long-distance runner, paratrooper and avid participant in multiple adventure sports, and he guided service personnel on various aspects of sports medicine and in managing sports injuries.
